Adobe PhotoShop is the leading standard for image improvement and manipulation the world over. PhotoShop Elements 6, priced under $100, brings the power of PhotoShop to the photographic enthusiast. Learn to bring images into your computer, store and catalog these images and make improvements to them.

Computer requirements for running Elements and the use of memory card reading devices will be explained. Organizing and Cataloging images:

For Windows users:

Using Elements 6’s – Organizer – for Windows to import, catalog and help search for images.

For Apple Macintosh users:

Using – iPhoto – for Macintosh- to import, catalog and help search for images.

Explore the key features of the heart of Elements 6- the Quick Edit- to quickly brighten, sharpen, crop and color correct your images. Learn the most powerful features of the Full Edit to improve even compromised images. Long term storage, emailing images and making image backup CDs and DVD’s are covered. As this is a full day courseexpect to get a good grounding in the fundamentals of PhotoShopskills that will last.

Attendees may bring their laptop computers but it is not necessary.

Richard Vallon Jr.

Richard Vallon Jr. received a BFA in Photography from ASU Tempe in 1981. He worked as a medical photographer at Ochsner Hospital from 1984 until 1990. Since 1993, he has owned and operated Orleans Photo Inc. He has worked for a long list of clients. Richard loves teaching beginning students who share his love of the new digital photography. His reward is seeing how his instruction helps their understanding of a sometimes murky art.
