What

In this class we will explore time tested techniques for creating terrific indoor portraits using studio strobe lighting in the Lakeside Camera Photoworks Portrait Studio.

The first half of the day is devoted to theory with a presentation explaining the positioning of the lights and setting the power to create complimentary light for various lighting styles. The styles of beauty lighting, horror lighting, half lighting and Rembrandt 3/4 lighting styles will be presented.

During the second half of the class we will photograph a live model in these various lighting styles. Light modifiers such as soft boxes and umbrellas are presented.

Remember to bring your Digital SLR camera to practice and particpate in photographing the model. Students will take away a helpful guide for re-creating the styles taught and illustrated during this class.
