Digital Press Operator - HP Indigo 5000

The HP Indigo Press provides greater productivity, delivers improved flexibility and an increased levels of print quality. Lakeside Camera Photoworks/Printworks is seeking someone who is technically knowledgeable and creative in nature, and whose skills extend beyond the basic ability to operate digital presses. Responsibilities:

• Operate HP 5000 efficiently and productively.
• Prioritize work to maximize work flow.
• Clean and maintain equipment and work area.
• Conduct all scheduled maintenance on equipment.
• Monitor and calibrate equipment for optimum quality
• Maintain an accurate record of work time on each order.
• Identify, analyze and resolve problems.
• Maintain proper level of paper inventory.
• Order supplies and consumables as needed.
• Participating in pre- and post-production meetings in accordance with standard operating procedures and departmental processes.
• Manage ever-changing deadlines.
• Keep current on new technology.
• Document actions by completing quality logs as required.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years experience on digital press’ machines.
• Vocational/technical degree in graphic arts is desired.
• Familiarity with Ordersense, Yours Truly and Pre-Press software a plus.
• Awareness of new technologies and changes in technologies
• Strong communications skills
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Requires good mathematical skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Able to apply written instructions to machine set-up and maintenance.
• Thorough knowledge of press problem solving.
• Good understanding of prepress functions.
• Meet or exceed minimum test results as designated by hiring manager.

Photo Lab Technician

As a photo service technician with Lakeside Camera you will have the opportunity to guide customers through the printing of photographs and the creation of photo products. Part of the excitement is that every customer has a unique story and it is up to us to help them tell it and share it through photography. It can be a very rewarding experience.

In addition to helping in the creative process you will also be hands on in the production of many of the photos and products you watched your customers create.

Basic computer skills, a willingness to provide exceptional customer service, a desire to produce quality photo products, and a positive attitude is all you need to get started. You will receive training on the operation and maintenance of each piece of equipment in our state of the art production facility.

Your responsibilities will include delivering high quality photo products on time, maintaining a professional appearance in accordance with our uniform policy, and participating in weekly staff meetings and training events.

The right candidate will be offered a competitive hourly wage plus a commission incentive. After 90 days you will be offered health insurance with a portion of your premium being paid for by the company, a retirement program with company match up to 3%, a gracious employee purchase program, and you will be earning paid vacation time.

Custom Picture Framer

Job responsibilities include, assisting customers with mat and frame selection, operating Wizard mat cutter, ordering supplies, assembling frames. Applicant must provide customer service in other areas of store when frame department is not active. This is not just a production job, strong sales and communication skills are a plus. Applicant must have 1+ year’s prior experience and training in custom framing trade. Applicant must have the ability to be friendly and courteous while providing excellent customer service.

Custom Video Services Technician

Help to preserve family memories by converting old movies to video and DVD. Copy video tapes, burn DVD, transfer between formats, etc. Work with state of the art equipment in a professional environment. Studio/Event Photographer

Applicants who are interested must have at least 1+ years of experience in portrait and event photography. Qualified candidates must be highly motivated and creative to set up props and backgrounds for seasonal portraits, maintain and manage steady work flow, knowledge of Photoshop and photo printing. Applicant must be able to work with adults and children in a positive, friendly manner. Sales Associate

As a retail sales person with Lakeside Camera you will be one of the first to see the latest
technologies the major camera manufacturers release to the market. So a desire to keep
up with the fast pace of the photo industry is key. This information will help you guide
your customers to make a smart buying decision.

But we don’t stop there, the camera is only the beginning. You will receive introductory
training in each department of our state of the art production facility. This will enable you
to assist your customers with confidence while you guide them through the creation of
our customized photo products.

Part of the excitement is that every customer has a unique story and it is up to us to help
them tell it and share it through photography. It can be a very rewarding experience.

Some of the qualifications we are looking for include a willingness to provide
exceptional customer service, a desire to sell, and a positive attitude. Your responsibilities will include meeting monthly sales goals, maintaining a professional appearance in accordance with our uniform policy, and participating in weekly staff meetings and training events.

The right candidate will be offered a compensation package that will include an hourly
wage plus a commission program, the combination of which can total between $36K and
$50K+ per year depending on the motivation and effectiveness of the seller. After 90 days
you will be offered health insurance with a portion of your premium being paid for by the company, a retirement program with company match up to 3%, a gracious employee
purchase program, and you will be earning paid vacation time.
