Lakeview Viking Fest – Order Photo’s Online

Lakeside Camera Photoworks’ Team of Photographers will be on-site for the event to capture your special images. You can view and order your Viking Fest Event images easily online. Images will be available online Saturday, 14, 2009 at 6pm.

New Orleans – Sean Payton, co-founder of Payton’s Play It Forward
Foundation and Head Coach of the New Orleans Saints, will be in
attendance on Saturday, March 14 at the Lakeview Playground to host
the first-ever “Viking Fest.” In addition to his participation, Payton will
also host a “Football 101 Clinic” during the festivities.
Payton will be on hand as a participant in a “fun run” that will coincide
with the 5K run during the festival that will kick-off the day-long event.
The Saints’ head coach will then present awards to the winners of the
various age groups following the races.

In addition, a few of New Orleans’ most popular bands will perform
throughout the day, including “The Buck Town All-Stars,” who will
take the stage shortly after the completion of the “fun run” and the
5K. Special guest appearances will also feature “The Imagination
Movers,” which will precede Payton’s “Football 101 Clinic” specifically
geared towards novice football fans and those that are seeking to learn
more about the game of football.

Selected elements of the “Saints’ Experience” will be set-up for
children to enjoy and polish up their football skills throughout the day,
as well as dozens of raffle items donated by area businesses and
individuals.

“Band Camp,” a local musical band with a strong local following will
also entertain the crowd during the festival, which will conclude in the
evening with a special appearance by the 80’s and 90’s tribute band
“Ratt Poison.” The evening will conclude with a fireworks spectacle
high above the park.
